06: Defibrillators in South Ward
**The issue**
Defibrillators are lifesavers, so having them around South Ward in the right places is important.\
The issue was first raised by residents and Cllrs after the loss of a defibrillator after a shop closure.
**Status and progress**
The Forum has agreed to keep watching this issue and to see what can be done to increase defibrillator impact across South Ward.Cllrs have been discussing with the new supermarket about replacing the, now missing, defibrillator from the side of the old Coop. This opened up the discussion to where other defibs (AED’s) are in the area.

Cllrs continue to explore new ideas to fund new defibrillators going forward.
**Barriers and obstacles**
Each defibrillator costs money so each will have to be part of a project to install new ones.

The Forum will continue discussions locally to see how and where new defibrillators can be installed.
