# Welcome to the **Neighbours Together** community discussions website. _[Jump straight into the general FORUM discussion space](https://www.nelwatch.org.uk/neighbourstogether/index.php?r=space%2Fspace&cguid=3a8117c0-b232-4968-babe-4cd5c0bdaa4f) to see the most recent conversations…_ This site is managed by [VANEL](https://www.vanel.org.uk) (Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire) as a way to bring together our portfolio of neighbourhood and resident involving projects; to share information about those projects, and, importantly, allow residents to interact, discuss and share ideas. Neighbourhood Networking is an approach to bring residents together - both for the collective benefit of the communities where they live and for their own wellbeing. VANEL is currently delivering a four year Neighbourhood Networking project funded by the National Lottery and focusing on supporting rural areas in North East Lincolnshire. We’re supporting residents to get involved with existing event, groups and activities or supporting those residents who might want to set up new groups to help get things established. We’re working with existing organisations and community venues (such as village halls) to help them expand and support their communities even more. We also lead on Neighbourhood Watch for North East Lincolnshire and either lead or are involved with a range of other projects and initiatives which work for the benefit of residents or communities. So for example we’re working in North Cleethorpes on the Big Local programme; we’re working with Ward Councillors in several wards to deliver community safety events, training or equipment to their residents, and we’re delivering Scams/Fraud awareness workshops across the borough.
