Neighbourhood Networking

Welcome to our **Neighbourhood Networking** discussion space. Neighbourhood Networking is a long-term programme being run by [VANEL (Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire)](http://www.vanel.org.uk "VANEL (Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire)") based in North East Lincolnshire. The programme is all about bringing people together more. It’s about community and community cohesion and togetherness. Sometimes that might be about social clubs and groups, or it might be about community safety through things like Neighbourhood Watch. It’s about helping existing community projects and groups reach more people. And it’s about getting residents and neighbours to connect with each other and with other groups or social get togethers. We want to encourage more volunteers to setup activities that bring people together. The programme is currently funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund. Alongside this we work with many partners and other funders to help grow the programme further. Our focus from 2024-2028 is on the rural areas of North East Lincolnshire - essentially:\ Immingham Ward - Immingham, Stallingborough and Habrough\ Wolds Ward\ Waltham Ward\ Humberston & New Waltham Ward - Humberston and New Waltham villages\ Laceby Acres - part of the Yarborough Ward This discussion space is the equivalent of a website for our project. We’ll share news and updates and information about our project and what we’re up to. But we’re also happy to answer questions here or help plan our approach through the discussion space. This website - Neighbours Together - covers more than just the Neighbourhood Networking programme. So although a lot of the content here is about that programme - especially when it covers the rural areas, Neighbours Together is much more. We work in other parts of North East Lincolnshire because of other projects and funders. So we also cover things like Neighbourhood Watch, Allotment Watch and other projects that bring residents together. **Next Steps:** Visit one of the discussion spaces related to a specific geographical area to see what’s happening there.
